An important part of the institute is the Personal Heart Advocate.
The Personal Heart Advocate is a specially trained cardiovascular registered nurse
and is the point to point person for the patient.
This person is dedicated to the patient's individual needs and will assist them through
the sometimes complex maze of testing and inpatient procedures.

The Personal Heart Advocate
is key to our program
The Carondelet Heart Institute is changing the way heart patients receive medical
care.
A Personal Heart Advocate will personally guide each heart patient through the sometimes
confusing maze of testing and procedures, leaving the heart patient and family to
only worry about what is important--recovery.
